What is a Herbal Consultation?
A herbal consult is perfect if you feel you’ve exhausted conventional options, are frustrated with the current health system, or want to take a more active role in your well-being. It’s also ideal for those with chronic issues, concerns about side effects, or a preference for gentle, holistic care.
Working with Carrie as your clinical herbalist means having a dedicated partner in your health journey. With extensive training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, and phytotherapy, she tailors her approach to support your body’s natural ability to heal and thrive.

Before your first visit, you'll receive a detailed intake form through your Practice Better account. This helps me learn about your health history, lifestyle, and wellness goals so we can make the most of our time together. I also ask for copies of any recent lab work you’d like to share, plus a few images of your irises and tongue.
During your first consultation, we’ll sit down in a welcoming, relaxed space. This is your time to share your health journey—your story, struggles, and the vision you have for your well-being. We'll take a deep dive into what’s going on for you and gather the details needed to craft a personalized approach to help you feel your best.
You'll leave with practical steps you can start right away, along with an herbal formula created just for you. We’ll also set up a follow-up visit to check in, adjust as needed, and continue supporting you on your path to wellness.
What to Expect:
Within a week of your first appointment, you'll receive a detailed write-up with personalized recommendations, including herbs, lifestyle tips, nutrition, and supplement suggestions. Your package also includes a custom herbal formula—usually a tea or tincture—designed to support your specific concerns.
After our consultation, I often spend time reviewing relevant materia medica, scientific research, and best practices to tailor everything to your unique needs. I may also discuss your case with my mentor to ensure you’re getting the best possible care.
To support you along the way, I offer a 15-minute follow-up call within two weeks to answer any questions, check in on how things are going, and adjust your formula if needed. A more in-depth follow-up is recommended around four weeks to assess progress and make any necessary changes—many times, formulas can be adjusted or even reduced as health improves.
For the best results, I recommend working together for at least 3-6 months, though longer support may be needed for more complex or long-standing concerns.
